YOUR FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT
When you register as a participant in the Best Buddies Challenge, you are committing to raise funds for Best Buddies. This is a commitment we are very grateful for, but also one we take very seriously.
After registration, you have a 7-day period from the day you registered to withdraw from the event. If, within those 7 days you decide that you cannot make this commitment for any reason, alert a Challenge Development Associate, and you will be released from the event. Please note: registration fees are non-refundable.
Fundraising Commitment Deadline (FCD)
If you have not met your fundraising commitment two weeks before the event, Best Buddies International will charge your credit card (required upon registration) the difference of monies raised from your fundraising commitment. If you reach and submit your fundraising commitment level before the fundraising deadline (FCD), your card will not be charged.
Best Buddies’ Fiscal Responsibility
Contributions to Best Buddies are judiciously spent, with the majority of these funds directly applied to the enrichment of the organization’s programs. Our total annual budget demonstrates that 84% of all monetary contributions are allocated to one of Best Buddies eight programmatic divisions that directly integrate people with intellectual disabilities.
The Best Buddies organization as a whole is extremely responsible with all funds; in our entire budget, only 16% of expenses are used to cover administrative and fundraising costs. This figure greatly outperforms the majority of nonprofits in America, signifying Best Buddies’ commitment to fiscal responsibility and to the success of our programs. Your donors can give with the utmost confidence that their donation is put to excellent use!
